I keep all of my games consoles, I have so many of them now – so I have to keep them in storage around the house, and rotate the ones I want to play on accordingly.

I can't throw away or sell any of my games stuff, it's pretty much mine for life so I have to be really careful about what I buy in.

Thanks so much for the shout! I am still on the hunt for a Dreamcast myself. I wish so much that I would have kept all of my old consoles. Instead, I sold them off for a few bucks – stupid, stupid, stupid.

By the way if you (or any of your readers) are on XBOX Live – NotMyForte is my gamertag – we should get on a game or two!

Aw, man! Now, I feel like a gaming failure. I voluntarily got rid of my old consoles. I hang my head in shame.

Hehe! I think my problem is that I'm just way too practical (thanks, Mom!) to hold onto something that I'm, in all likelihood, never going to play again. I look at the consoles sitting and gathering dust and I think to myself, "You know, I could sell these and buy games for the systems that I am playing now!"

Come to think of it, I think that comes from the fact that I moved a lot when I was a kid. So, it was a pretty common occurrence for me to have to go through my stuff and decide what to keep and what to send to Good Will or the dump. So, even now, I tend not to hold onto things that I'm not using any longer.

Gotta keep 'em. In my experience most people who are true game lovers regret getting right of them. SNES++

Dreamcasts are crazy cheap, like $25 or $30, and easy to find.

I always keep my old consoles! SNES is still the greatest system ever made and has all the best games for it. Mine is still in perfect working condition - they built those things like bricks for a reason!

I also still consistently play my PS2. You just can't beat that game library.

For the record, I do own a 360, PS3, and Wii, but they never really captured my love and imagination like the older systems did.

And I absolutely refuse to play emulators...it feels so dirty! Like I'm cheating on my beloved decade and two decade old systems!
